Top Women in Residential Real Estate 2010 Honorees with Beverly Willis

BWAF President Beverly Willis presented a Keynote Address at the 5th annual NY Women in Real Estate Awards Gala on June 9th. There was also a screening of the documentary film "A Girl is a Fellow Here": 100 Women Architects in the Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright. Willis addressed
the New York Top Women in Residential Real Estate, stressing the importance of many backgrounds coming together to build a future in the built environment. During her speech Willis said, "We believe that building a tradition -- a history -- for women today, ensures that your success will be recognized as merit -- not accident."

WIA / Women in Architecture / "A Girl is a Fellow Here" Screening
BWAF presented a screening of the documentary film “A Girl is a Fellow Here”: 100 Women Architects in the Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright (15 min.). Produced by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, the film explores the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright. The screening (April 14, 2010) was followed with a talk and Q&A Session with Beverly Willis, FAIA.
