Los Angeles Herald Examiner Building

Julia Morgan was the first female licensed architect in California and the first female recipient of the AIA Gold Medal (2014). The building's large street level windows exposed the whirring presses of the twice daily newspaper to passers-by. Designed in a Spanish Colonial Revival style and recently renovated, the building remains a landmark of distinguished regional character.
